Blog Her 15' is here during the month of July, and its my first time attending an event with a majority of women that love to blog. There will be an amazing panel there, every day, catered food, parties, and an closing party sponsored by McDonalds. I hope to learn everything and more, is what I said to myself.
When arriving at the conference the first day, I was given a big welcome with sponsors in an Expo Hall, and free gifts. Also, the day was full of education sessions with professional women giving their advice on how to be a better blogger and how they started. Some were influenced by being at home Moms, others were influenced by friends, society issues, the great recession, and a passionate talent, that they would like to share with the world.
The panel discussions topics were about #blacklivesmatter, being an influencer, being a part of change, ending maternal mortality, being a business woman, not giving up, encouragement, bullying, selma the movie, and more. A few our special guests that were keynote speakers shared their stories, Gwyneth Paltrow, Ava DuVernay, Christy Turlington Burns, Soledad O’Brien, Melinda Gates, Opal Tometi, Patrisse Cullors (cofounder of #BlackLivesMatter), Essence editor-in-chief Vanessa De Luca, Public Radio International CEO Alisa Miller, and more... The conference was a place to be to enjoy all that it had to offer.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Ava DuVernay, Christy Turlington Burns, Soledad O’Brien,
Leaving the conference, I had a better understanding of womanhood, sisterhood, and why I would want to become a blogger. The women were all inspiring, encouraging, and human(e). I did not feel uneducated, nor did I feel like I was in a position all by myself, as I did not know what to expect and what I was going to get out of the conference. I knew that I was attending the conference because I had an interest of knowing what bloggers do and what it's all about. Blogging seems interesting!
