Jay Customs also known as Leonje Ellis is a 20-year-old lover of shoes, and an entrepreneur woman in business. She customizes shoes which is her first love but has talented skills in designing clothes.
It all started with limitations of local stores not having a specific shoe color style that she was looking for to attend a party. So, like any entrepreneur would do, think fast and create your own lane. She went home and came up with an idea, " How dope it would be if I could customize my first pair of shoes". Jay customs started.
She would watch you tube tutorials and started designing her shoes. Her first designs were on older shoes she owned, it became a marketing tool for her and she began designing for others. Now, being an entrepreneur her prices were not cheap. She looked at her talent as priceless and charged from $150- $200 dollars.
When the work of her talent touched social media, the buzz was amazing to the point it reached celebrities. How encouraging? Then, Jay customs introduced her talent to Nike. Nike was amazed and gave words of wisdom, "you have potential". I say words of wisdom because her work was noticed and the respond was encouraging to keep it up. A guy by the name of Eddie Howard hired her to work for Nike Outlet. Her dreams are coming true.
The ending of December 2016, Jay Customs is moving to Texas to attend fashion & design school. Her future business endeavor is to own her own personal sneakers and clothing business. Jay Customs quotes, "I am truly blessed with the talent that God have given me and it’s only the beginning".
