Retail Going Bad, in the USA?

Current news trending, says that many retailers are going out of business. And the experience has become real and sad, to see many favorite retail companies go out of business, or either downsizing their stores. Stores like Payless, Macy's, JC Pennies, and more... The question is why are many going out of business? Is it competition with other retailers in the USA or is it competition with retailers overseas?

Should retail companies unlearn to do business a certain way in order to keep business running. Customer’s demands are high and they expect a certain way of service. They are leaning towards online shopping because of the speed of service. The customer service is more handled instore which many appreciate, but more so the speed of shopping is what makes a customer day dandy. Also, small businesses, are major competition today, but these same retail stores have major sales to accommodate the needs of customers, so why is retail going bad in USA?

I have learned as a former retail employee, doing business with customers when handling their demands and their transactions they expect courtesy, management of quality service and time. Customers are spoiled, want what they want, and it’s up to the retailer to supply. Because, “customers are always right”, right?.

President Trump recently met with a few USA top retailers, to discuss the changes that need to be made to keep business manageable. Because retail is one of the most dependent markets for employers, employees, buyers, and the economy. The discussion is corporate taxes, trading taxes, and tax reform.

Discovering that trading taxes overseas cost foreigners nothing when coming into America, but Americans have to pay, when going overseas. This behavior speaks volume of why retailers are going out of business. To meet competition overseas they are to pay, to meet competition in USA their homeland, they are to pay (with providing sales, quality customer service, keeping up with competition, and rent). How will President Trump, billionaire businessman help save retailers in USA?
